This definitive WWII musical, will be returning to the Wirral stage in 2020, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day. The musical, written by Roy Sault, is set during the days of World War II and takes audiences through the quirks, humour and tragedy of every day life during the war, culminating in a VE Day street party.

Timed to be performed during the three days immediately leading up to the 75th Anniversary of VE Day (5th, 6th and 7th May), the show will be a poignant tribute signifying true British spirit overcoming troubled times.

Very much a trip down memory lane for some, the musical is pure nostalgia and recalls the feelings of the era by following the Parker family and their local community during the war efforts. The musical features over 30 classic songs, including “The White Cliffs of Dover”, “Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree” and of course, “We’ll Meet Again”.

The production will feature over 20 named characters, along with children’s roles, and will be performed at the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight, Wirral.

BOST have previously performed this show to sell-out audiences receiving excellent reviews, so we are very much looking forward to staging it once again for this special national celebration.
